The ambassador of Iceland in Norway and its business representative visited EFLA's office in Norway. The purpose of the visit was to gain insight into the operations and lay the groundwork for further strengthening of trade relations.

Strengthening trade relations

The Icelandic Embassy in Norway strives to strengthen trade relations between the two countries. As part of this work, representatives from the embassy, Ingibjörg Davíðsdóttir, Ambassador of Iceland to Norway, and Eva Mjöll Júlíusdóttir, Business Representative, visited the EFLAs office in Oslo. They were given an introduction to EFLA's history, projects, and activities in Norway and an outline of future plans and collaboration with the parent company in Iceland. They also discussed the evolution of flexible and remote work, where technological development has helped remove barriers when it comes to remote working on projects regardless of location.

Rapidly growing activity

EFLA's office in Norway has 38 employees and has been in operation since 2008. The company has established itself with consulting and design services related to infrastructure, emphasising the energy transmission and transportation sectors. EFLA has worked on numerous high voltage lines and substations, highways, roads and traffic, bridges, tunnels and water and sewerage systems. Recently, the scope of services was also expanded to include consulting and the design of buildings.
